OCD UK Information for Sufferers

ocd ocduk Oct 31, 2021

In the UK OCD has become one of the most common forms of anxiety condition.

Since March 2020 and the Covid-19 pandemic, OCD and health anxiety have swept the UK, with sufferers as young as 3 years now experienced anxiety, OCD, phobias and compulsions around hand washing (contamination) fear of dying, fear of Covid itself and a variety of other manifestations.

But OCD can be cured completely when the correct science is addressed in the correct way.

Many charities, health and mental health services will have sufferers believe that OCD is a serious mental health issue which requires medication and psychiatric treatments.

Since helping UK OCD sufferers to recover over the last 25 years, it has become increasingly noticeable how much misinformation around obsessive compulsive disorder and Pure O is out there. Charities, public and private healthcare focus on coping strategies and long-winded, outdated treatments which promise a lot and deliver very little.

UK based OCD treatment options usually include and involve:

  • Talking therapies
  • Counselling
  • Exposure therapies
  • Medications
  • Relaxation and meditation
  • EFT, EMDR, NLP and others

The problem with these treatments is that none of them understand or treat the true source of OCD, preferring to attempt to address the symptoms, compulsions and thoughts that its true cause. This is the reason that OCD suffering is increasing and also why very few people make full recoveries.

In the UK, we have two main treatment options, the national health service (NHS) or private practice. But, what if neither provide resources that specifically address OCD and even more specifically target the part of the human mind responsible for producing the obsessive compulsive behaviours and thoughts?

Our team are the most experienced mental health professionals with specific training in recovery practice.

Since 1997, we have been providing recovery in online, workshop, corporate and residential formats.

Our recovery success is exceptional with NHS testing of our program confirming an average recovery response of total recovery.

If you experience anxiety and wish to find out more, please use the contact link at the top of this page or call us on the number on the right.
